This is a complex rehab case and an ideal case to showcase the power of planning prior to restoring a smile in the aesthetic zone.
This patient had missing teeth in the front and decided to replace the missing teeth with implants.
Prior to planning and placing implants, we created digital simulations of her smile and ideal teeth dimensions and transferred that design into her mouth to see what the teeth and smile would look like prior to placing the implants.
This is a very important step in ensuring we are respecting principles of facially driven aesthetics in such cases as placing the implants in the anterior aesthetic zone without first testing out the design can lead to disastrous results.
In this case the design was checked, seen and approved by the patient prior to proceeding to the placement of implants.
This shows proper planning is paramount to execution and results in complex anterior aesthetic cases which involve missing teeth.
