Case #7: A Composite Bonding Challenge

We saw this patient being unhappy with the appearance of his smile and the way his front teeth were mis-aligned.

After a detailed discussion with the patient, we advised the patient to first consider if he wishes to align his teeth first with Invisalign or braces followed by cosmetic treatments such as teeth whitening, composite bonding or ceramic veneers.

The patient did not feel confident he would be comfortable with braces, aligners etc and would go through with the treatment hence we wished to proceed directly with composite bonding.

Choosing composite bonding directly over teeth are crooked can sometimes be challenging to try to create illusions of symmetry and a uniform smile.

In this case we were able to clean up and remove any failing existing fillings or composite bonding on his front teeth and do a fresh composite bonding to give better shapes and symmetry and within the existing smile frame. The patient was very happy with the final result and we were happy to give him the smile of he wanted.
