Case #2: Emergency Trauma repair with Composite Bonding

This was an interesting case in the use of composite bonding for emergency trauma repair. This beautiful young patient came to our practice on a rainy cold London winters morning as an emergency walk in. She had slipped and fallen off the pavement and smashed her front two tooth.

After we saw her on the day we re-assured her after thorough clinical evaluation that we could help fix her smile, however we advised her to go and recover and rest on the day, and return at the end of the day. Once we moved a few appointments around to help her, we managed to restore her smile and confidence with the help of composite bonding.

By using natural shades and internal layering patterns of composite, we were able to replace the broken parts of her teeth and restore her smile. We helped restore the right shapes, textures and shade to her smile. The patient was seen again for a final finish and polish after 2 weeks and the patient was very happy with grateful with the final results.
